Please review this with the shop's details before launch — it describes how the site is actually built, but it is not legal advice.
What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, phone number, email address and delivery address. We need all four: the courier cannot deliver without an address and a working phone number, and we send order updates to your email.
If you sign up for our newsletter we store your email address and the date you signed up. Nothing else.
If you create an account we also store a password, which is hashed — we cannot read it, and neither can anybody who obtains a copy of our database.
What we do not collect
We do not take card or bank details on this site. Payment is cash on delivery, or a bank transfer you make yourself from your own banking app. No card number ever passes through us.
Why we hold it
To pack and deliver your order, to answer you when you get in touch, and to handle returns. If you asked for new-stock emails, to send those.
Who it is shared with
Your name, address and phone number go to the courier company delivering your parcel. They cannot use it for anything else. Our email provider handles delivery of the emails we send you.
We do not sell your details to anyone. We do not share your details with advertisers.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets a cookie to remember what is in your bag, and — if you sign in — to keep you signed in. Those are necessary for the shop to work.
We may use analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. That data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
Marketing emails
We only send new-stock emails to people who asked for them. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately — one click, no login, no confirmation email. Order confirmations and delivery updates are separate: those are part of your order and are sent whether or not you are subscribed.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as we need them for accounts and returns. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter we keep a record that you unsubscribed — deleting it entirely would mean a future signup or import quietly puts you back on the list.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us and we will deal with it. Deleting an account does not remove order records we are required to keep.
